About me

Hi! My name is Debra (she/her/hers) and I am an Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) where I teach undergraduate courses in neuroscience and psychology. 

My research background is in behavioural neuroscience, but these days I conduct research at the intersection between pedagogical practices, accessibility, and inclusion.

Outside of academia, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario, Canada.

I also create psychoeducational content about autism, ADHD, neurodivergence, and mental health.
